Chevy SSR Braided Stainless Brake Hoses
$ 97.29
- These DOT compliant, braided stainless brake lines are made by Classic Tube in New York. The “Stopflex” lines are a “3 layer” design of a PTFE Teflon lined core, stainless steel braid and a clear vinyl outer cover. Replacing original rubber lines with the Stopflex lines will increase braking performance by eliminating the “spongy” pedal feel. Each crimped connection is stamped with the DOT compliance and the hose itself has the requisite DOT compliant information. All lines and fittings are brand new and not fabricated from “donor” OEM hardware. A full set (plus 2 spare) of copper GM 21012386 sealing washers is included. You will re-use the banjo bolts (they don’t go bad) from your existing lines. Torque 30 to 32 ft/lb. If, for some remote reason, you wish to replace the banjo bolts, GM part number 11569590 is available for various prices. They are used on about 800 different GM models for the last 40 years. Last time I looked, Rock Auto sold the GM bolts for about $12 each. Aftermarket brands are also available for much less. ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM TORQUE ON BANJO BOLTS IS 33 FT/LBS.
